What a day!

Oh my goodness. Wrote a story for 1A tomorrow that I hadn't planned when I went in to work this morning and finished up a package for 1A for Sunday.
My boss, who I've worked closely with for more than a decade, said goodbye to our staff today because he may not return to work after vacation if the sale goes through while he's gone. It was very sad. It's the end of an era. He did amazing things to create a higher quality newspaper and pull the NJ into the current century.
I'm exhausted and emotionally spent. I've lost soooo very many friends at the NJ in the past 18 months.
Now we're headed out to dinner -- at Steve's favorite place -- La Hacienda, Orange City.
