Tried something new

Had an idea for an egg dish the other day. Found pepper jack cheese in the fridge and had a bowl of salsa mixed with cream cheese left over from the party Saturday night. What about a Southwest omelet? So this morning I whipped up two eggs and started the omelet. Topped with about 1/3 cup shredded jack cheese. Flipped. Served with a dollop of salsa/cream cheese. Wow! It was great.
Also tried a new recipe for a dip for a shower at work this afternoon. Cream cheese package, small can chiles and small can crushed pineapple (DRAINED!) 1/4 cup chopped pecans. It's supposed to be a log and I didn't drain the pineapple because frankly most recipes for crushed pineapple say don't drain it. Recipe is from the Watunga Cheese Festival and other places. We'll see how it turns out. Topped with more pecans and chili powder.
Worked more than 10 hours yesterday. Wrote three stories, two boxes and an online brief! Fell asleep on the floor by the fire when I came home -- after cooking pasta at 10:30. Lightly sauteed thin pork chops. White wine. Whipping cream. Over pasta. Yum.
