Food and feathers

Can't believe how convenient it is to have grilled chicken breasts in the fridge. We ate grilled chicken breasts Saturday, then used them on fettucini and pizza and enchiladas. Very convenient and yummy!

Saturday was spent at home working on Rosie's fairie costume - which turned out so cool! Saw a hummingbird chasing a warbler in the yard. That made us laugh!

Hiked about 6 miles with Steve on Sunday afternoon, saw a number of birds.

Weekend birds
great horned owl, red-shouldered hawk, snail kite?, common yellowthroat, palm warbler, cardinal, catbird , merlin, swallow sp., black vulture, turkeys, great egret, great blue heron, white ibis, snowy egret, yellow rumped warbler , downy woodpecker tufted titmouse, hummingbird , northern blue jay, mocking bird.

Lovely weekend

Got to get outside and paddle twice. Helped with wedding planning. Scrubbed a little more in the house, but still not finished. It's taking too long.

Friday evening was perfect, paddling along mangrove islands in New Smyrna Beach.

Here's my bird species tally for the weekend. Great blue heron, great egret, reddish egret, snowy egret, little blue heron, tri-color heron, green heron, roseate spoonbill, black-crowned night heron, bald eagle, osprey, red-shouldered hawk, anhinga, cormorant, clapper rail, coot, downy woodpecker, pileated woodpecker, cardinal, northern mockingbird, crow, yellow legs, grackle, belted kingfisher and gulls (which I didn't take the time to ID, then wished I had),
