Tonight Katelyn said her prayers at bedtime and thanked Heavenly Father for grandma. Oh my gosh. That one little statement can sure have a powerful effect on your heart. Wow.

I took her to school today and returned at noon to watch the school's patriotic performance. It was so cool to hear the kids sing Lee Greenwood's I Love the USA in all their red, white and blue outfits. It was really fun.

But it really, really feels weird to attend a school function as a grandparent. When did I get old? I was a young mother yesterday!

Had a peregrine's eye view of downtown Orlando and the greater Central Florida area today from a 25th floor window. It was really cool. Gives you a whole different perspective on things to see it all from up so high above the fray.
