Day three

Paddled again tonight. Two hours in a maze of mangrove islands. Divine. Dinner at Norwood's for the first time. Fun.

Made a quick post reply to someone's Facebook this morning without thinking about it much then worried later I'd opened a can of worms. Hopefully not. But it got me thinking. A niece eloped and got married, the second one to do so in about 8 or 9 months. Everyone's angst at not being able to see it, throw parties or join in the fun raises an interesting debate. What is the purpose of a wedding? Is it for the family? Is it for the two people getting married. Yes it's one of the major decisions of your life but shouldn't the feelings of others come into play? Especially your parents, who sacrifice so much to get you to this point?

The other important point is that for young couples, a wedding can truly be valuable, helping you off to a great start with creating a home.

Anyway glad I won't ever have that decision to make again.
