Setting aside religious beliefs about burial for a moment, I'm thinking that going out in a blaze of glory during a fireworks show is such a much better way to go than having one's family watch as people slide your cold heavy casket into the ground.
Tom Moore, who died in May, was cremated and his ashes were scattered tonight during a private fireworks display over Lake Disston for their family and friends. It was both beautiful and moving.
