Busy, busy

Had a small party for Rosie tonight. Think she had a lot of fun but the timing didn't work out so great. Four of her friends that were planning to come were grounded by their parents for various infractions that didn't sound so serious. Made me think I was really soft on my children. But we had fun with them growing up and I think they had fun. Sometimes it seems to me you have the whole rest of your to toe the line and work yourself to the bone. Not sure it's worth it to push the kids so hard. However, sometimes I wonder if I took the wrong tack. They're such great kids though and we're all so close.

The weather is divine. So glad to live in Florida. I was walking down a hall in the Hilton today and glanced outdoors to see the beach and it took my breath away. Funny how working in Daytona I often forget the beach is just right there. So beautiful.

OK, I said the word "so" a total of seven times in this story. Need to look for some better words. Of course I only used the word really once, which is really (OK twice) unusual!
