Wednesday, December 14, my birthday.
Breakfast with hubby at Gram's in Orange City. Was so tempted to try the Belgian waffles with pecans and whipped cream but opted out at the last minute for country fried steak, one of my personal unhealthy favorites. Came home and wrapped presents for 3 hours.
Then Rosie and I drove to Winter Park for the wedding reception at the Farmers Market. Absolutely adorable! We loved the combination of whimsical decorations and desserts. Bride's dress was simply fabulous! A 40's recreation, which she paired with a fascinator in her hair and bright salmon pink heels. Too cute!
Thursday, Dec. 15
A second preschool Christmas program, this one at the Methodist School in Deltona. Very sweet reenactment of the Christmas story. This school had all the kids on the stage at once! A bit wild. Afterwards lunch at Genuine Bistro in DeBary. Had not eaten there before. It was nice but wasn't wild about the preparation, taste or cost of the food. Did some more errands around the house, trying to make my lists and check them once, twice or even three times.
Friday, The Zellwood Bird Count around Lake Apopka. Great fun chasing all over Apopka looking for birds. Found a white-winged dove and saw my first ever barn owl. That was wildly exciting!
More of the same on Saturday, only this one at Blue Spring.
Left early to come home and help Steve watch Charlotte. A bit disappointed to leave but it wasn't bad.
